Derabassi, Punjab: Ajooni Biotech Limited, a company known for its PURE VEG animal products, has announced plans to start commercial production of Moringa by the financial year 2025–26. This initiative is part of the company’s rights issue and a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Unnati Agri-Allied & Marketing Multi-State Cooperative Society Limited (UAMMCL), supported by the Central and Punjab Governments.

“The Moringa revolution is upon us, and Ajooni Biotech is at the forefront,” said JasJot Singh, Managing Director of Ajooni Biotech. Moringa, often called the “miracle tree,” is known for its numerous health benefits and potential uses in animal health and sustainable practices. The company plans to use funds from the rights issue to begin commercial production by FY26.

Moringa oil, extracted from its seeds, shows promise for use in aviation biofuel. Recognizing this potential, Ajooni Biotech is incorporating Moringa into its product development. Singh explained, “This focus positions Ajooni to capture a significant share of the market for natural and sustainable animal healthcare solutions.” The company has leased 64,000 square yards of land in Derabassi, Punjab, for a Moringa nursery and plantation.

Ajooni Biotech’s rights issue, which started on May 21 and ends on May 31, aims to raise ₹43.81 crore. Shareholders can buy additional shares at Rs 5 per share, a 20 percent discount to the closing price on May 18, 2024. This move is seen as strategic for unlocking Moringa’s potential in the animal healthcare market, promising a sustainable and profitable future for Ajooni and its stakeholders. Rajan Shah, a SEBI Registered Investment Adviser, strongly recommends subscribing to the rights issue for both short-term and long-term investors.

“A significant portion of the proceeds will go towards researching Moringa’s applications in animal health, leading to innovative Moringa-infused products. The rights issue will also help establish large-scale Moringa cultivation infrastructure, ensuring a sustainable supply chain,” Singh elaborated.
